Massage Therapy

A massage session is so much more than a relaxing experience.

Massage therapy can support your overall health and wellbeing in a more profound way.

Therapeutic massage can be beneficial in cases of chronic pain. It aids injury recovery while promoting relaxation and reducing stress levels.

Each session is tailor-made to address the person and the issue always keeping in mind that the body is a unit rather than isolated parts. It is not only about the knots, but we address multiple systems helping the body regulate and rebalance itself towards better health.

It incorporates techniques from various massage approaches and works towards finding the most effective ways in restoring the body’s ability to restore and heal.

Fascia Release

MyoFascial Release is the one thing I will always incorporate in every session. This is a specialised technique that works towards releasing tension in the Fascias of the body.

Fascia is the soft connective tissue that surrounds all structures and it is continuous throughout our body. It therefore enables us to better feel the interconnectedness of everything.

Following the fascia we can better feel how one restricted area can affect or is affected by other parts in the whole of the body.

Releasing the Fascia we can have better and more sustainable results after a session.

FAQs

Short answers to frequent questions. Feel free to contact me for any more questions or concerns. I will be happy to help.

How long is a massage session?

A massage session is 1 hour long. This gives us the time to focus and address an injury or limitation in one part of the body, plus the time to work with the whole of the body. Sometimes remote areas and structures might be compensated or might be holding stress in response to local restrictions. Its best to listen to and support the whole of the system for the body to fully relax and integrate change.

Is therapeutic massage intense?

Force and pressure can vary at different times depending on the area of focus and of course the tissues involved. We are always looking for the optimal way to work in order to release restrictions and tension being mindul of the areas that might be injured or sensitive. Always respecting the boundaries of the body, evaluating tissue response and adjusting force to achieve a therapeutic result.

How often should one get a massage?

Massage is beneficial in so many ways, even at times when you are not suffering from injuries or pain. Frequency really depends on your needs, existing injuries as well as your exercise routine and daily habits. A single session can offer some lasting benefits, however a series of sessions with some consistency can at times be suggested.

Can I book a session at home?

Yes. You can book an appointment at the convenience of your home upon direct communication. Depending on your location and availability we can find a time that better works for your schedule.
